How it unfolds

Your journey

  1. Before anything gets injected

Iron, thyroid, a hormonal shift, a recent birth: these explain a lot of shedding, and they get sorted somewhere other than here. When there is a doubt, we send you for blood work and wait for the result before starting.

  2. Where you actually stand

We photograph the scalp under the same light at every visit: it is the only way to know if anything is moving. And if the area has been bald for years, we will say so. There is nothing left to wake up, and we will not take your money to prove it to you.

  3. Which of the three

DC Bloom for women, $1,590. DC Prime for men, $1,998. DC-Exo, $1,898, when a blood draw is not possible or the idea puts you off. Our nurse sees you every 4 weeks.

  4. Three months before anyone judges

Hair grows about a centimetre a month. Before three months there is nothing to see, and the morning impression in the mirror is worth nothing. We compare on the photos, and that is when the conversation gets interesting.

FAQ

What we get asked most

We draw a small amount of your blood, spin it in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelet-rich plasma, then reinject it into the scalp. These growth factors aim to stimulate the follicles and support hair density. The treatment is a medical procedure performed by our medical team after an evaluation.

Yes, PRP is 100% autologous: the plasma comes only from your own blood, drawn and reinjected the same day. Nothing foreign is added, which rules out the risk of a reaction to an external product.

Most people feel mild discomfort during the injections, often described as small pinpricks. We can apply a local numbing agent or cold to improve your comfort. Sensitivity varies from one person to another.

We generally recommend an initial series of 3 to 4 sessions to kick-start the follicular response, but the exact plan is set during your consultation based on your situation. Every plan is personalized after a medical evaluation.

The initial sessions are usually spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Afterward, maintenance sessions may be suggested every few months to support results. The schedule is adjusted to how you respond to treatment.

The first changes, such as reduced shedding and denser texture, often appear after a few months, as the follicles respond. Results vary depending on the person and the degree of hair loss. No result can be guaranteed.

PRP does not stop the underlying cause of hair loss, so maintenance sessions are generally needed to keep the benefits over time. Duration varies from one person to another. We discuss this based on your progress.

Downtime is minimal: you can usually return to your activities the same day. Redness, tenderness or slight swelling of the scalp are possible for a day or two. As with any needle procedure, a small bruise can occur.

PRP is not indicated during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with certain blood or clotting disorders, an active scalp infection, or certain medical conditions. The prior medical consultation is precisely there to confirm that the treatment is right for you.

Hair PRP starts at $350 per session, taxes extra. The recommended number of sessions, and therefore the total cost of your plan, is confirmed during the consultation based on your situation.

The next step: we look at your scalp.

We photograph the area, place where you stand, and tell you which of the three programs suits you. If blood work should come first, we will say so that day.
