How Much Does Hair PRP Cost?

The price of a hair PRP session with us, our programs, and why prices vary from one clinic to another. Taxes extra.

Woman in her thirties with long light brown hair, the price of a hair PRP treatment in Laval

With us, a hair PRP session costs $625, taxes extra, and an exosome-only session also costs $625, and a session combining PRP and exosomes costs $850. The treatment itself is described on our PRP page. Here, we talk budget.

You may be wondering whether that's expensive, or whether another clinic would do the same thing for less. It's a fair question, especially for a treatment that takes several sessions. Here are our prices, what makes market prices vary, and the cases where PRP isn't the right purchase.

Prices in Quebec

What we see on the market

In Quebec, a hair PRP session generally costs between $500 and $800, depending on the clinic and the region.

  • The low end: around $500 a session
  • The middle: $600 to $700
  • The high end: $750 to $800

Why prices vary so much

1. Who does the injections. An injectable is done by a nurse, never by an esthetician. The experience of the person holding the needle, and their familiarity with the scalp in particular, is part of the price.

2. The equipment. The centrifuge, the quality of the tubes and the precision of the injection equipment change the concentration obtained, and therefore what actually gets placed.

3. The protocol. Platelet concentration, how it's adapted to your profile, and the number of passes.

4. Everything around it. The assessment beforehand, follow-up between sessions and advice for keeping the result.

Our prices

Per session

  • PRP: $625
  • Exosomes only: $625
  • PRP + exosomes: $850

Taxes extra in both cases.

Our programs

PRP takes a series of sessions. That's why most people choose a program, which costs less than the same sessions paid one by one.

Taxes extra. These are our standard prices. What you need to do to qualify for an offer is written on each offer page.

Why we post our prices

A "price on request" mostly serves to get you in the door before telling you the number. We'd rather you know the amount before you make the trip, even if it lets you compare.

What the price includes

1. The eligibility assessment, with the scalp analysis and a clear answer: yes, no, or not yet.

2. A protocol that fits, with the number of sessions your stage calls for, not the package that pays us best.

3. Follow-up between sessions, and adjustments based on your response.

How it compares with other options

Daily medication. We don't point anyone toward finasteride or minoxidil. It's not our approach, and we'd rather bet early on your own follicles than on a product taken for life. If you're comparing amounts, keep in mind that this expense never ends, because shedding resumes when you stop the product.

A hair transplant. From $4,000 to $15,000 depending on the extent, once. It's the right option when there are completely bare areas, and we'll point you there if that's your case. PRP doesn't replace a follicle that's gone.

Hair systems. You pay for the purchase, then a replacement every two or three years, plus upkeep. Over ten years, the bill runs well past a program followed by annual maintenance.

What doesn't show up on the bill

Nobody puts a number on the hairstyles you avoid or the photos you no longer take. Yet that's often what brings people to see us.

What makes your plan vary

The stage of the loss

  • Recent loss: 3 to 4 sessions is often enough
  • Moderate loss: 4 to 6 sessions
  • A more advanced case: a combined protocol, when it's still possible

The area to treat

A localized area, like the temples, needs less product than a full crown or diffuse loss over the whole top of the head.

Your goal

Stabilizing shedding and adding as much density as possible don't call for the same protocol or the same budget. We'll tell you which one matches your situation.

Two examples

A man of 35, with moderate baldness, wants to stop the shedding and add density. We'd suggest DC Prime, at $1,998.

A woman of 42, with diffuse loss, wants thicker hair and more volume. We'd suggest DC Bloom, at $1,590, after checking iron, thyroid and hormones. If the cause isn't corrected, PRP has a much lower chance of working.

Paying in instalments

A program can be paid all at once or in instalments, whichever suits you. We discuss it at the assessment, before you commit to anything.

Two tips that change the final bill:

Choose a program rather than individual sessions. You pay less, and the protocol stays consistent from one appointment to the next.

Follow the instructions between sessions. Sleep, diet and quitting smoking improve the quality of your plasma, and so the result of each session, at no cost to you.

When PRP isn't the right purchase

Loss that's too advanced. If areas have been bare for a long time and no viable follicle is left, PRP has nothing to wake. We'll then point you to a transplant, with PRP in support on the areas still covered.

Plasma that won't keep up. With heavy smoking, a clotting disorder or certain conditions, we recommend exosomes instead, since they don't depend on your blood.

Expectations that are too high. Nobody gets their teenage hair back in one session. If that's what you're hoping for, we'll tell you before you pay.

Could you leave without a treatment?

Yes. We'd rather say no today than disappoint you in six months, even if that no costs us a sale.

And elsewhere in the world?

  • United States: $800 to $1,500 US per session
  • France: €400 to €600 per session
  • Quebec: $500 to $800 per session

Quebec prices are competitive, and you have no flight or hotel to add. Either way, the experience of the person doing the injections weighs more than the country.

Questions we get about price

Why not choose the cheapest clinic?

A price well below the market is made up for somewhere else, on equipment, training or the time you're given. A botched protocol calls for extra sessions, costs you time, and often costs more overall.

Can I do one session to try it?

No. PRP works as a series. A single session is unlikely to give a visible result, and you might wrongly conclude the treatment doesn't work for you. We suggest the assessment instead, which commits you to nothing.

Are there hidden fees?

No. The eligibility assessment is free, follow-up is included in the program and the price quoted is the final price. Taxes extra, as everywhere on this site.

The spending calendar

The first six months:

  • Month 1: first session
  • Month 2: second session
  • Month 3: third session
  • Months 4 to 6: we watch your response

After that: one to two maintenance sessions a year, paid per session.

So the biggest expense comes in the first year, then it drops. Daily solutions cost the same year after year.

In short

With us, hair PRP costs $625 a session, $625 for exosomes alone, $850 for PRP combined with exosomes, and between $1,590 and $2,395 for a program, depending on your needs. Taxes extra.

What's left is whether it's worth it in your case. We look at that together at the assessment, which is free.
