FAQ

Before your first visit

A peel applies a solution of acids (AHA and BHA) that exfoliates the surface layers of the skin to encourage more even cell renewal. The goal is a more radiant complexion and smoother texture. The protocol is chosen by our team after assessing your skin.

You generally feel warmth or a tingling sensation during application, which fades quickly. The intensity depends on the type of peel and the depth chosen. We always adjust the treatment to your tolerance and skin type.

A single session already brings a glow, but a course of several sessions often gives a more even result on texture and complexion. The exact number is set during your consultation. Results vary from one person to another.

Peels are usually spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart, giving the skin time to renew between treatments. This pace is adapted to the strength of the peel and to how your skin reacts.

Radiance is often visible within a few days, once any flaking is done, and texture improves over the course of sessions. Benefits are maintained with a good routine and sun protection. Results vary and are not guaranteed.

Light flaking is common for a few days: the skin may feel tight, look slightly red and peel finely. It is important not to scratch or pull at the skin to avoid marks. These after-effects vary with the strength of the peel.

No, you must avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds in the days that follow, because the skin is more fragile and sensitive. Applying a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher every day is essential. This is also what protects your result.

Downtime is generally short: redness, a tight feeling and fine flaking for a few days. We give you aftercare instructions to support this period. A stronger reaction is possible and is assessed if needed.

A peel is not advised on broken skin or with an active infection (such as a cold sore flare-up), with a recent tan, during pregnancy depending on the acids used, or with certain ongoing skin treatments. The consultation lets us check what suits you and postpone if needed.

We favour a gentle, hydrating routine, without harsh exfoliants, with daily sunscreen while the skin renews itself. The ZO peel is $250 per session, taxes extra, and the ideal plan is confirmed during the consultation.
