HydraFacial
Emptying pores without squeezing them between two fingers.
A handpiece that exfoliates, suctions and hydrates at the same time. Extraction is done by vacuum rather than by pressure, which is why you leave with clean skin instead of irritated skin. It is the only treatment on this list we would do two days before a wedding.
How HydraFacial works
The handpiece creates a vortex: it delivers a solution at the surface while suctioning, in one motion. Where manual extraction crushes the pore from outside, suction empties it from above. The skin is neither pinched nor marked, and the next step can place a serum into a clean pore.
- 1
We lift the dead cells
A first exfoliating solution softens the surface layer and the debris built up in pores, while the tip removes what comes loose.
- 2
We gently open the pore
A blend of gentle acids dissolves hardened sebum. That step is what makes extraction bearable: we soften before suctioning, rather than forcing.
- 3
We suction
The vacuum draws the pore’s contents up and out. No finger pressure, so no crushing redness and no small vessels bruised on the sides of the nose.
- 4
We infuse the serum
On an empty pore, the last step delivers antioxidants, peptides and hyaluronic acid. That is what gives the immediate glow you see on the way out, and the hydration that holds over the following days.
What HydraFacial does not do
- It does not change the structure of the skin. It cleanses, hydrates and brightens; it does not fill a dented scar or restart deep collagen. It is maintenance, not transformation.
- It does not permanently shrink pores. An empty pore looks smaller, which is real and visible, but it fills again: that is why we repeat it regularly.
- It does not erase spots. It revives the complexion, but melasma or a settled sun spot belongs to a laser or a peel.
- It does not replace treatment for inflammatory acne. During a flare with painful lesions, we calm things first and plan differently.
