The mechanism

How the LaseMD Ultra works

Non-ablative means we do not remove the surface layer: we pass through it. The laser lays down very fine, spaced columns of heat, leaving intact skin between them. That intact skin is the reserve that repairs quickly, which is why downtime stays short.

    We set the intensity with you

    A wedding on Saturday or two free weeks: that is not the same setting. We decide together before switching on.

    We create the micro-channels

    The laser opens microscopic columns. The skin reads that as a repair to make and restarts renewal.

    We apply the chosen serum

    While the channels are open, an active goes far deeper than in a regular application. We pick the cocktail for your goal.

    The skin rebuilds from underneath

    Redness and tingling on day one, then a finer grain over a few weeks. Collagen keeps going for months.

What the LaseMD Ultra does not do

  • It does not replace a facelift. It works skin quality and grain, not established laxity.
  • It does not fix melasma in one session, and too strong a setting can reawaken it. We go carefully, or choose another route.
  • It is not done on skin tanned last weekend. We wait for the tan to fade, otherwise the risk of pigment marks rises.
  • It does not give its full result in one go. A course of three or four sessions changes more than a single session.

LaseMD Ultra, the questions we get

It depends on the setting, and you choose it with us. Gentle: a few hours of redness, like a mild sunburn. Deeper: two to four days with some flaking. We plan the session around your calendar, not the other way around.

A peel acts chemically at the surface. The laser acts deep, in columns, without removing the top layer. A peel is excellent for radiance and surface renewal; the laser reaches collagen lower down. The two complement each other.

Three or four sessions three to four weeks apart for a real change in skin quality, then maintenance. A single session gives a glow that works before an event, but does not transform skin texture.

You feel heat and tingling, not needle pricks. Numbing cream is applied first for stronger settings. Most people describe it as bearable and short.

Thulium is more cautious than other lasers on deeper skin, but the risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation exists. We assess your skin tone, lower the energy and prepare the skin. If it is not the right route for you, we say so.
