PRP and Exosomes Together: What the Combination Changes for Your Hair
Combining PRP and exosomes in one hair protocol: what exosomes add, and our programs that bring both together.
Plan for 3 to 4 close sessions to kick-start regrowth, then about one maintenance session a year. Here is why hair needs consistency.

For most people: 3 to 4 close sessions to start, then a maintenance session about once a year. Hair PRP is your blood spun to concentrate the platelets we place back into the scalp. The exact number depends on your profile, and here is how we set it.
PRP works by gradual stimulation. A dormant follicle does not wake all at once: it needs several successive signals to genuinely restart.
That is how long it takes for:
Too close together and you waste it; too far apart and you start over each time.
Why:
That is what produced DC Prime: four sessions over two to three months, three to four weeks apart, then an assessment to set maintenance.
Why:
That is what produced DC Bloom: three sessions three to four weeks apart, preceded by a scalp assessment, because in women iron, thyroid and hormones are checked before treating.
These numbers are averages. Your plan is set at the assessment, from your situation.

The DC Prime Exo version adds exosomes to all four sessions rather than just one.
Then a maintenance plan, set from your response. The DC Bloom Exo version puts exosomes in all three sessions.
The markers below describe a typical progression, not a guarantee.
PRP does not stop the clock. Without maintenance, hair gradually returns to its starting state over a year to eighteen months. You win ground back, and the ground has to be held.
The first year: one to two sessions. After that: one session every six to twelve months, depending on your response.
Not all PRP is equal, because not all plasma is equal. Yours depends directly on your habits.
A balanced diet: enough protein, iron, zinc and B vitamins, and water, 1.5 to 2 litres a day.
Sleep: 7 to 8 hours, at regular times. Regeneration happens at night.
Moderate physical activity: it improves circulation and tissue oxygenation.
Less stress: permanently elevated cortisol slows hair growth, directly.
Smoking, which reduces blood oxygenation and alters platelets. It is the heaviest factor.
Excess alcohol, which disrupts cellular regeneration and slows healing.
An unbalanced diet, which brings deficiencies and background inflammation.
Chronic lack of sleep, which affects growth hormone production.
None of this is a judgement: it is mechanics, and it is the only free lever you have to improve the result.
If after three or four sessions you see a result below your expectations, an improvement that stalls, or a quick relapse between sessions, it is time to consider something else.
Plasma that does not keep up: significant chronic stress, an underlying condition, medication affecting clotting, habits that will not change.
Loss too advanced: atrophied follicles, a fibrosed scalp, genuinely bare areas. There, PRP has nothing to wake.
Genetics: the response varies from person to person, and nobody can predict it in advance.
Unlike PRP, which takes what is in your blood, exosomes bring growth factors prepared in a laboratory.
What they change:
To be honest about it: exosomes are not approved by Health Canada for hair regrowth, even though their use is common in clinics, and there is no long-term hindsight yet.

At the hair eligibility consultation, our nurse looks at:
Your hair profile: the stage of loss on the Hamilton or Ludwig scale, the quality of the hair that remains, the state of the scalp.
Your health profile: your habits, your stress level, your sleep, your diet, your medication.
What you are after: the result you want, the time you have, your budget.
We reassess after each session and adjust. Your response drives it, not a protocol written in advance.
Two weeks before: more protein, more water, less alcohol and tobacco.
48 hours before: no anti-inflammatories or aspirin without advice, arrive rested.
Between sessions: hold the line on habits, use gentle hair products, protect the scalp from the sun.
What to watch: how shedding evolves, changes in texture, new short hairs appearing.
At six months: a photo review, a density assessment, and the maintenance schedule.
The full protocol is the first year's expense; after that, one to two sessions a year is enough. That is where PRP compares well with daily solutions, which never stop.
Prices, per session and per program, are in our dedicated article, and on every program page. Taxes extra.
The number of sessions depends on you. Some people get an excellent result in three, others need four, others again will do better with exosomes.
What does not vary is the principle: PRP works as a series, not one-off, and the stage at which you start matters more than the number of sessions.

PRP for hair reinjects your platelets’ growth factors to wake follicles that are still alive. Here is how it works, step by step.

The evidence on hair PRP is decent but variable. We explain honestly who it works on, and who it does not.
